Sometimes P's hands are tied. there's now a soft hr rule that says that eos must be of a certain age before being formally appointed. Till then, you are appointed internally.

For P's eyes only. Ballpark will probably 31 or 2 even with a high cep? Unless one is truly exceptional.

Not true. The document is out for all on intranet. It’s transparent. You just need to be geo4 to be formally appointed. If you are Geo 3, just focus on being a good teacher first. Not age determined. The issue was in the past, there were too many Geo3 appointed as KP and they ended up being unable to manage because they haven’t spent enough time honing their skills as a teacher.

No such thing. Don't pretend to have inside info when you have none.

Okay feel free to disagree. That's why I said it's a soft rule.

It's not about agreeing or disagreeing, it's about spreading misinformation. There is no such messaging from MOE HR at the national or system wide level. Full stop. You are spreading wrong information.
There are a few possibilities why you might have come across an age recommendation, for example your cluster board or HR is responding to an observed trend of underperforming middle managers in a particular school or group of schools, and gives a targeted recommendation to the Principal(s) concerned about their MM development process. And maybe when this message was cascaded down to you, you may have interpreted it as a HR guideline.
It could have been a targeted message to specific schools of concern, but it is definitely not a system-wide message from HR.

Hi,
I am graduating with a third class honours in NUS economics this semester, planing to apply to a secondary school teaching job, preferably Math. Any tips on passing the compulsory teaching stint given that i have no teaching experience in this subject, do i need to revise all the content before hand?
Thanks a lot for answering!

You have already passed the interview?
Highly recommend that you prepare for the primary school syllabus instead...

I won’t be surprised that there’s a soft rule on age requirement for KPs. I was applying for enhanced posting. 33 this year but many SLs commented that I’m young to be applying for the job. And then later nuance their position a bit more by saying that oh but what counts more is your experience. Anyway long story short, passed cluster Supt interview and posted as a cross level deployed KP and would have started next year but have decided to leave service instead (story for another time). The main thing is: why is age even a consideration if the bar is GEO4 and I was already GEO4.
