CEP no. Because CEP is supposed to be a long-term projection.

Performance grade for that particular year - possible, since long periods of absence may objectively lower the impact of one's work. By right it shouldn't be, but it tends to be.

Progression

Male 34yo this year

May 2013 - Entered service
2014 - Default C (Didnt get ranked by school as I just entered service)
2015 - C (Promoted to Geo 3 - Cohort promotion)
2016 - Default C after promotion
2017 - B
2018 - C+
2019 - B (Promoted to Geo 4, changed school via open posting)
2020 - Default C after promotion
2021 - C
2022 - C+

Currently drawing abt 6.2k

Am i considered 9yr teacher or 10 yr teacher? How's my progression? Normal or slow?

Slow or fast compared to who or what? If compared to a scholar, then you’re slow cos I know someone (male) who is 34-years-old has attained VP position.

But compared to some in the service, then your promotion to GEO4 is faster - I know someone who was promoted to GEO4 only when he was 33, after being stuck for several years at GEO3

2018 - Promoted GEO 3 in April, B
2019 - GEO 3, B (CEP Raised)
2020 - Promoted GEO 4 in April (heard that principal pushed for the promotion as she wanted to put me up for SH interview) Passed interview in Oct/ Nov, can’t remember.
2021 - Appointed SH. Didn’t do internal covering. Grade B
2022 - Grade B

Been getting Bs. Non-graduate, non scholar, just a lot of love for teaching and the children.

What subject are you teaching?

Being GEO4 at the 6th year mark (2019) is normal progression
However, at your 9th year mark, those above average one would be
Geo 5 already.

How come your pay is so low - $6.2K, what honours do you have?
3rd Class?
I would expect your pay to be actually at least $6.5K...

I think the most surprising (and depressing) thing is that since MOE changed to the GEO system, the salary ranges (lower and upper limits) for the different grades have not been adjusted. Like hello, since then, we don't have inflation meh?? So in terms of real income, teachers' pay have dropped.

Is it really confirmed that the ministry allowed for a greater % of B? Any KPs in ranking panel able to confirm this?
