Currently an FAJT for a year already. I’m interested to return full time.

1) Do i need to apply as CAJT before getting emplaced?

2) How easy/difficult is it to get emplacement?

FAJT back to full time

Hi, I resigned at end of 2018, did fajt from Jan 2019-Jun 2020, went for interview to return to full time in Nov 2019, successfully returned to full time in Jul 2020. From what i observed, the number of people shortlisted for interview is very few and only certain subjects like languages.

Hi, does anyone know if MOE or the P of a school could prevent teachers from posting out through open/closed posting in the event where many teachers have already left the school in the previous year and number of teachers falls below the sch quota?

Not for open posting but yes for closed posting. Too many teachers leaving reflect badly on the school.

10 years in service, Seo 1, HOD, perf mostly B, A twice.
Spoke with my RO about my career progression but nothing concrete came out of it. Wondering if I should go to HQ or continue in my school.

I was mostly a B grader until I went HQ. HQ is a good place to network and learn but it will also be a place where you will realise that B and As are difficult to get because almost everyone is a top performer there. Also, as SEO1, you are competing with senior specialists and it’s really tough. HOD in HQ is also just a senior officer. You no longer have any management role unless you are roped in to be an Assistant Director at the very least. However, these positions are by invitation only and you can’t find them in open posting.

If you want to continue to get good grades, stay in school. Can consider changing schools and portfolio. If you want exposure and network, go HQ. However, be prepared to get C/C+.

is it because you were not used to hq staff work?
