Pay range is dependent on your substantive grade, not your appointment.

A GEO5 can be a HOD. But a HOD grade is SEO2.

Ya man. I don't know why here ppl telling on average it takes 4 years. Ppl in my sch most took 7 years reach ceiling still not promoted.

Coz they are not the ‘identified’ ones....

I was in Geo 3 for 2 years. During then I was helping my HOD a lot. P has been targeting me and wanted me to fill up a position, but minimum GEO4 then can go for interview. So shortly after I got promoted. I heard from my VP that my P was the one who pushed for my promotion. He said this request must come from P else won’t have.

Promotions are not up to P right? I thought it depends on HR?

promotion depends on how much the kps and p n vp likes u lah.

if they like u n think your cep is high, confirm promote fast.

if they don't like u, u work like dog, even more than the "pets", also cannot get promoted

You know. Teachers in Singapore already high paid compared to their USA, India, China, Malaysia counterpart.

No wonder Singapore so snowflake. Even teachers also complain not enuff.

Thanks for letting me know I am not alone. Hit ceiling too and been in geo 3 for about 6-7 years. I’ve had enough

me too. i got B last yr and hopefully a B again this yr and a geo 4.

I hear form my colleagues other geo 3 in other schools promote very fast even without holding any positions

unfortunately the system is not flawless and hence each school practices differently
