Looks like I really have shitting CEP as my friends told me for guys usually 3 years or 4 years will get the GEO 4.

Sigh.....

Do you think I should move on from my current school?

Any idea why is my promotion delayed even though I do not have any C-?

I am C throughout. Joined MOE after NIE in 2014.
You have low CEP, that explains the slower promotion. There are ladies who hit GEO 4 in their 4th and 5th year. And no they are not scholars..

In the new school, you will need at least 2 years for the school to observe you before they will recommend a change in CEP. Unless you really shine..... then possible in the first year.

I would think talking to your RO to know your strength and area for improvement. Show your willingness to take on projects to lead at level, and be part of a school based project. Those are traits of a GEO 4 officer.

Have a male colleague got GEO 4 just this year. Entered service in 2013. And he has received some Bs..

What's the progression of a PE teacher under the leadership track? I have just graduated from RP outdoor and adventure and interested in being a PE teacher.. Are PE teachers handicapped to only a HOD? Is it rare for a PE teacher to be a VP/P?

I presume you are going to get a degree right at a local university (NUS, NTU or SMU) or at least NIE BA/BSC because that is important for your CEP.

Anyway, P/VP are usually teaching scholarship posts. Unless you qualify for that, the chances are otherwise slim.

I have known a few VP with PE background, and all PESEB HQ deputy directors are at least VP levels.

To add-on, if you do not have a degree from a local uni stated above, then i think it will be really hard. Many years ago, my ex-teacher told that dip-holders do the same stuffs as a degree-holder but gets paid lesser, and I think MOE wants all teacher to have a degree right now right?

I think MOE is one of the ministries with the largest number of scholarship holders because they have the EMS > PSC > MOE TS > MOE TA before they reach a farmer. So they have no shortage of officers to take up leadership position. Perhaps, you may be interested in the specialist or teaching tracks too.

All these play an important role to determine your CEP.

Maybe can consider that when going for mid year review. Every year my RO say doing a good job and doing well... then when PB grading out is a C. Then when I asked her this year during March for like a pre mid year review, she said she also don’t know about CEP. Just give examples of how some people take so long to promote. Everything also don’t know. Then we have a SH and a HOD who only manage to teach 5.5 to 6 chapters out of the 16 chapters in the textbook for Amath in Sec 3 and was promoted to SEO1. Really rubbish.

Sigh.... It’s not like I messed up any assignment given and I always complete my tasks ahead of time and all. Been level coordinator and all also....

Then when all officiers have to meet P for 1 on 1 session to air out concerns, I asked P, P just say time factor. Just say C is a good grade. If i messed up, I would have already been made known and will affect the PB and Performance grading.

That’s why I feel maybe my CEP is Super shitty and they don’t wanna say. Maybe when determining the CEP, they look at also your overall academic results from all the schools you went to before, after all they are MOE and have access to all your data.

Maybe I should talk to my RO again during mid year review. Had a pre work review in March and when I questioned, RO said don’t know. Don’t know about CEP and why. Just said some officers take longer and it’s not in the school’s choice. RO said during year end review, everything is good and fine. I finish all I need to do, complete assigned task ahead of time etc etc. Still a C.

Then went for 1 to 1 chat with P as it’s a requirement in my school to see the P once a year for chat. Asked about it and said time factor and I’m just at GEO 3 for like 4 years. Just said C is a good grade. Ask me to just wait patiently. Just said cos I started out with higher salary etc so could be a reason.

Then we see some SH and HOD who was promoted to SEO 1 and only manage to finish teaching 5.5 to 6 chapters out of 16 chapters when students in Sec 3. Sometimes really wonder how these people move up.

Oh well.... sigh... At least I now know my CEP sucks.
