GEO 3-4 varies on the performance of the officers. Have female officers promoting to geo 4 in their 5th year, at 29, to male officers Geo 4 in their 6th year despite getting Geo 3 faster. There are also officers who are stuck donkey years at Geo 3.
For Geo 4- geo 5, I admit the trend in my school is it takes longer. Promotion is not any faster , even for KP at geo 4 for a few years. Same goes for geo 5-seo1

Based on what I am seeing, this is indeed the case. However, it also depends on the P, how conservative he or she is.
Nowadays. even being appointed a KP seems harder. That applies to moving from one appointment to another, for eg, LH/SH to HOD. There are certain recommendations by higher up.

Now, you can't even be an appointed KP at GEO 3. Minimum requirement is GEO 4.

This kicked in late last year only, if I'm not mistaken. Very possible in the past.

Even if that is the case, it is very unlikely to be HOD at GEO 3. If one is appointed KP at geo 3 and shows potential to progress to HOD, the promotion should not be that slow. Unless he or she moved from SH/LH to HOD within a year?
Lots of hearsay here, it is only wise to take things here with a pinch of salt.

My PE teacher more than 10 years ago held no special position. He is a god dam VP now. LOL. We will never know what have they been doing behind the scene. Or their correspondences with MOE HQ.

Geo 4 to Geo 5
Hi all. Need some info.
Is there an instance that a Geo officer at Geo 3 or Geo4 that hit salary cap and can’t go to next pay grade? As in hit cap. Does it mean that he or she won’t have an increment for the next year?

Increment
If an officer is stuck at Geo3, does that mean that at he maximum salary vcap, he or she won’t get any more increment anymore? Or will the salty system push the person to the next grade? Something to look forward to soon. Guru pls help.
