SEO1 no diff, you get paid GEO5 rate.
As a GEO5 FAJT, i'd recommend against anyone wanting to switch to flexi adjunct.

Nowadays we have to do CCAs and committee roles as well. And some hours are not paid.

That’s exactly the plan of Moe. Make it less attractive for you to switch to fajt. The next step, you will see more and more C- ppl in the system. If I’m ready to be a fajt but can’t be, just be in the system and be a C- teacher. Pay wise is the better than a real fajt, work wise is the same as fajt cause can choose to bo chap anything extra. Just be a self claimed fajt can liao.

from what i heard, instead of making the perm geo scheme more attractive, the fajt scheme was made less attractive?

looks like their overall budget $$$ still most impt?

What are some repercussions or consequences of getting C- consistently every year?

1) Slower or no promotion.
2) harder to become Fajt/Cajt
3) if u quit now and want to rejoin in the future, will be very hard.
4) lower remuneration even though u worked longer than others.

But the good points are

1) very good work life balance
2) better mental health
3) dun get bullied by KPs and SLs

I think it has been shared by many people in the forum. You will never be asked to go. At most they ask you transfer here and there, but if you don’t want to quit. They can’t do anything.

To go from 5 to 5A, it’s the KP who step down or geo5 who get C+ consistently one then got chance.

For added info on how bad you need to be to get exited… try using the AskHR function on Workpal to ask 'What is PRP?'

From what I can see, you need to be an E-grader (and continue to be even after being placed on this scheme) in order to be terminated. C- is pretty safe, as far as job stability is concerned.

(From a systemic point of view though, this is really terrible. I wouldn't be happy with D-graders teaching my kids; and the system seems to make it impossible to get rid of them?)

Yes. It’s very sad. I look at my colleagues who are D and C- teachers the class. I feel like the kids wasted their time in school.

I ask them why they don’t leave the service. Answer is simple: they have no other skills after teaching for 10+ years and which job gives them 6000-7000 (capped of geo4) per month with high stability? Quit already how to continue with their current lifestyle?

I always see many of them first few to leave sch while the rest work their lives away. Some preach to me saying they have high standards then when I see their work, wth.

When I was a BT, half the time see them bitching and gossiping in the pantry or at each other's tables while telling us BTs to do their ****. so if u meet a hardworking and non-gossipy Geo 4 or 5, appreciate that teacher. we need more of such teachers.

You talk like KPs don’t gossip lmao
