Thanks in advance.
I'm due to get Connect Plan end of 2025.
I vaguely remember that the cut-off date to receive it is that by 15-Nov, I must still be in service.
So if i tender my resignation, and my last day of service is, say 26-Dec-2025,
Will I get to keep the whole amount without the $ being claw-back ?
Thank you so much again 🙏

For faster (and probably more reliable) answers, suggest using the AskHR bot in Workpal instead of this anonymous platform… even though it's AI-generated, they provide citations you can check against.
In this case, 31 Dec should be your target goal (also qualifying for year-end bonus), since your hypothetical last day was 26 Dec.

Thank you for your service
Yet another one is leaving...while his workload gets redistributed among the other GEOs...
All the best for your future endeavours!

"BTs should work such that they show passion in their work. She seems disinterested or probably burnout"
"Can clarify what would that entail?"
"There should be a spring in their steps"
Overheard during a ranking discussion in the past. Just spilling some beans here that they should look into how officers are ranked in MOE.

Is there any difference to doing well in school vs doing well in HQ? Got my second straight B in my HQ posting and wondering if it could be useful for future advancement.
Not a scholar who got in thru FHQ. Just a normal GEO5 OPE fellow.

Doing well in HQ is tough because you are fighting with scholars with high CEP. But u have an edge over all GEO5s in singapore because your work impacts the whole nation. Hence, B. whether it affects your future advancement, probably faster than the rest, but never will you be able to beat a scholar (even if you did, its not easy).

Take part load maybe the pay still same or even higher than geo5. Yet don’t have as many classes as a ordinary geo 5.
Is there a limit to it or can KPs be asked to step down if they take part load consecutive years?
|
Stepping down ---> need to go for interview again next time if want to resume KP role. If at SEO grade, need to suffer pay cut by going to GEO5.
Part load ----> everything stays the same, PB and salary proportionally down.
The easy way out to prevent major disruption (re interview + pay capped) of course is part load.

My working hours are
8am - 5.30pm
8pm - 10pm
430am - 6am (around twice a week)
Sunday evening
Not sure whether getting Bs make up for the lack of sleep and work life balance lol

This will only be reflected in April’s salary right? 😆

Holy cow. Perhaps more worthwhile to go into tech/finance. Similar working hours, but double the pay?
