This troll deserves a Long Service Award for hanging around here so often to contribute and express his hatred and jealousy.
We'll keep counting your number of years of service okay?

Schools are inanimate objects.
Do not expect care from them.
Practise self-care.

Hi, I'm a fellow civil servant on the MX scheme and am interested to know how the pay compares to teaching, out of curiosity. I'll start the ball rolling.
Assuming a 16 month package all-in (12 months pay, 4 months combined mid and end-year bonus, performance bonus):
- Entry level - Manager/Senior Manager - 1 to 10 years experience: 45k to 80k
- Middle management - Assistant Director - 8 to 15 years experience: 80k to 120k
- Middle management - Senior Assistant Director/Deputy Director - 12 to 20 years experience: 140k to 200k
- Senior management - Director - 15 to 25 years experience: 220k to 260k

I think some more details are needed for everyone here to narrow down or zoom in more accurately.
- Assume local uni degree holder?
- Include contract untrained and NIE phase (about 2 to 2.5 years)?
- Assume an officer can progressively climb all the way to superscale without getting stuck at ceiling?
- Factor in the CONNECT plan?

Obviously I'm not cued in to the specifics, but appreciate if you could set some perimeters. Perhaps: degree holders, full-fledged teachers after NIE, assuming can climb all the way. No idea what connect plan is.

I'll just reference the previously crowdsourced payscales for you to do some self-calculation. Anyway, if you have access to the MX monthly salary ranges, it's easier to do a direct comparison.
Rough guidelines:
-teachers without additional portfolios typically max out at GEO5 or GEO5A
-KP can be appointed as AD in HQ (though the equivalence is not exact) which roughly maps to SEO1-2
-VPs map to SADs and DDs in HQ, usually SEO2-3 (but can terminate at Superscale H)
-Ps will be Directors in HQ and are typically off the chart (Superscale range).
Don't recall superscale pay scales being shared so far; it's not actually useful for the vast majority of us mere mortals, but if anyone can shed light on it that could be interesting! Also not sure if MOE superscale ranges actually differ from MX ones - I'm guessing they do?
