I was promoted in my first year as well. Made some checks and concluded that DXOs who gets a B in their first year in service will be promoted to DX10. If you miss it, gotta join the queue which will usually take you 4 years or so.

I am pretty sure that my FMN didn't give me the promotion during annual ranking as they were shocked as well. The promotion came direct from MHRD with a letter.

Entered MINDEF as DXO in 2013

2013: DX9 (default Band III)
2014: DX10 (Band II)
2015: DX10 (Band II)
2016: DX10 (Band II)
2017: DX10 (Waiting for 31 Mar 17)

What are my chances of DX11 if I get Band II again this year?

Eh your boss should have updated you the PMR results? I am interested to know as well. Don't know how long it will take for me. I joined in Apr 14.

WY 14/15 - Grade B (Promoted from DX9 to DX10 in Mar 15)
WY 15/16 - Grade B (DX10)
WY 16/17 - Grade C (DX10)

Went for a new appointment and the previous unit decides that my performance becomes average. Would have left if not that I know my CEP is high.

direct from MHRD? i guess you are really in the right place at the right time when they reviewed some HR policies and you managed to ride the wave.

maybe you are also in a good unit that gives B to those who perform without being politically correct(older staffs must stay top of ranking). myself, its a norm in my unit to get Band 3 as long as you are new. even if you outperform others. thats the sad culture in MINDEF in general. similarly for military uniformed personnel. a good performing ME1 who outshines a ME2 would be automatically ranked bottom when he promotes to ME2.

have a colleague was promoted from DX10 to DX12. although the pay increased, but his rank is bottom automatically. end up what he get in one year in DX10(top performer) is the same as DX12(PB all factored in). it doesnt matter what he did during that year.

Yeah, my boss just updated me on my last year's result yesterday.

2013: DX9 (default Band III)
2014: DX10 (Band II)
2015: DX10 (Band II)
2016: DX10 (Band II)
2017: DX10 (Band II)

Seeing as I have a few consecutive Band II, i'm really hoping to see at least a DX10P this year. My new department is quite competitive in ranking.

For guys who went for the interview, what was your dress code? Formal without tie? With tie and without blazer?

I took the test on the 10th~ I received the rejection email on 27th.

So probably not receiving the email is a good thing

took the test on 1 mar and still haven't heard back. feeling kinda anxious now.

Went for the interview, but i think gonna be a gone case. Saw a few people going for the same position as me. Too long never attend interview, mind go blank and dunno what i am talking about once i am in there.
