MINDEF DXO (All FAQ on it)

Took the test on 26th too. I only managed to finish 30 odd questions inn the 1st seg. I wonder how they evaluate. On the whole or each individual paper

Hi all. Im a new hire for DXO.

Did 45/60 for verbal reasoning. Still got selected. Dont worry too much.

Wat position did u apply for? And how long did your whole process take? Can u roughly brief time taken for each process?

i have at least answered these questions 3 times in the thread. not going to do that anymore. no more nice guy.

thats a popular opinion of the otherwise uninformed has of DXOs. its not cushy as many thinks and only slightly higher than other civil services. I work weekends just to complete my work.

I (think I) got a call from a MINDEF number (can't call back, but I googled it and it's an army number??) but I accidentally missed it and there's no follow up calls / emails after that. Am a nervous wreck... Anyone knows what I'm supposed to do after this? Will probably give HR department a call but I'm really scared they passed me up just cause I missed a number. *hits self*

The popular opinion stems from the fact that many NSFs have worked with DXOs before, and we know how useless they can be. My own supervisor was a DXO. She went on maternity leave and an NSF corporal took over. We scored even better for that year's audit because she wasn't around. If an NSF corporal can do your job, you are pretty useless.

Of course, this doesn't apply to all DXOs. I'm sure there are some DXO positions out there that are not cushy and the work is tough. But the majority are not. You can't really say otherwise since half the population(a.k.a all men) has been through NS and has worked with lousy DXOs before. What a DXO can do, his PES E clerk can do better.
