This is true, same for all other SB, senior post (Director) are not likely from external.
For Deputy Director, plenty are sourced from external

Hey guys, I’m a fresh grad and I applied for a DXO Assistant Manager post a week back, but I haven’t got any calls or emails from them yet. Can I ask what’s the timeline like for Mindef HR to get back? I’ve also applied for a few other jobs within Govt sector and most have gotten back to me.

anyone from private sector jump to DXO mid career ?

Although there will be a designation/job scope upgrade not sure if its worth to go in DXO (assuming there will be a pay increase)

I have a unit preview coming up in a couple of days

Main reason why im looking to change jobs is to have a career upgrade.

HR initially gets back pretty fast if you are eligible. Within 1-2 weeks to schedule you for psychometric test. Afterwards... lol it's been 1 year since my psychometric test and I still haven't heard a whisper from them. I don't think I failed because when I took a IQ test for a scholarship, it came back quite above average. Luckily I took up another job offer after waiting for 5 weeks.

Still got no news from SID? Anyone got any info😏
