Promotion in SAF is highly subject to how much visibility you achieve.

You need 2x band II to be eligible.

However, there's also bosses who insist lesser achievements get promoted.

So my simple answer is, third year in a new posting.

AWS - 13th mth
CS Mid-year Jun
CS Year-end Dec
PB

An average person last year would get

AWS - 1
CS Jun - 0.45
CS Dec - 0.1
PB - About 1 - 1.3 (C grade)

In the above, around 2.5 - 2.9 for an average performer in last year economy.

Isn’t C grade 2.0 to 2.2 month?

No. It varies from place to place. 1 to 1.5 months at my SB.

its not called the retention bonus but have something similar. will give you a small lump sum every few years. sort of like an incentive if you stay.
