DX9, please grow up and be happy that you have a job which pays you a decent wage.
Care is overrated and it is also a 2 way street.

-can someone share how long promotion usually takes for dx10,11 and so on? Since it is a time based scheme after all.
I am under the impression that dxos are paid higher than other ministries but not sure if it is factual.
I do enjoy the work and can deal with the distance and red tape, but it just feels like I'm a temp worker and there's no future here. Help?

If you are unhappy that nobody talks to you, do try proactively engaging your colleagues, sometimes they take time to warm up to you, especially if you are new and they have been there for a while. If that still doesnt work, perhaps the culture of your current unit doesnt suit you, or the perhaps the age gap is too big?
Sorry to hear that you feel that your boss doesn't care, it does happen sometimes but i can also attest that some uniformed bosses are truly concerned about the welfare and development of their staff (DXO or not). Luckily (or unluckily), uniformed personnel rotate every 2-3 years usually so fingers crossed that your next boss is better (assuming you are still there).
Curious, what made you say that promotion to DX10/11 is time-based? It most assuredly is not.

You're not even a secondary citizen but third class lol. It's something that you will have to accept to stay long as that is simply how the culture is due the ranks.
It's not time based although it gives off the impression that there is.
You're not paid more. It's just an illusion that is held up with everyone unwilling to have open conversations about salaries. The main plus point is that the position is perm and not contract so technically you aren't a temp worker.
You probably have to evaluate if you can deal with culture and stay for the long term. There are good bosses and bad ones just like everywhere else and you'll definitely meet them over the course of your career. If you don't see yourself being able to deal with it, then get out while you're still employable unless you want to work in public service forever.

Every organization will have a pecking order.
Chances are high that many will earn more than you.
No need to pigeon hole into classes.
There is no caste system.

Is G50 clearance first followed by the respective cat1or2 clearance? or is the cat clearance part of G50?
How do I know the position I applied for is for cat1 or 2?
