I'm in the midst of the job application process; and will update this forum w my own experience (timeline and all) once the final result is out.

Usually mindef’s computer system needs at least cat 2A. If you’re Singaporean it should be fine. Maybe roles in MINDEF needs a higher clearance depending on the types of document you would handle.

Medical just make sure you can work, like all civil service appts. Doesnt matter about NAPFA/IPPT cause roles are executive based.

Hi all,

Will they send a rejection email if I am not selected after the PT? It has been weeks and I have not gotten any news. I am wondering if I can start applying for other positions from mindef?

U can email the person who gives u the test date and also informed u to submit the documents. U can try to email again, probably he/she is on leave that day?

I don't think the pay extra for masters though I may be wrong. What's your honours class for your bachelors degree? I believe they pay fresh grad males with NS + FCH 4K.

Hello. Security clearance is a process that you are not required to attend. However they will request to furnish more details by completing some forms and further verification through phone. There will not be any more face to face interaction until contract signing.

yes, they can't release the exact package without clearance and check up. they can only give you a ballpark before that.

you're right - the civil service doesn't pay for masters unless the job specially ask for it, or that specialised knowledge is necessary.

assuming you start with a pass degree at 3.2, each year relevant work experience +200, capped at 5 years ~ 1000. :eek:

eh fake news mindef doesnt pay more for fch. as long as 2nd upper and above it's in the same band as fch.

means ure nt qualified enough for them to offer more for relevant exp.. who cares if uve working exp or masters deg if its nt relevant
