gentlemen, if i have 4 years of experience excluding NS, and offered 5.4, it is quite low right? not sure if i should bother negotiating and wonder how far it can be pushed

no offence, but if you have 4 years of experience and without NS and think that 5.4k is low, you are overestimating yourself. this is already overpaying you. I think you forget you are joining the public sector.

4 years without counting NS, with NS would be 6 years.
reasonale for my post is because earlier on there are posts with less experience but given 6k+

Why is NS even counted as experience? Isn’t it at most +200 for your service? And they look at relevant experience.
