Already signed the contract and starting soon.
I just submitted the med declaration form, nothing else. Granted, I only have a minor med condition - childhood asthma.

I'm currently working at a public service agency and have attended two interviews at MTI (trade officer) / MINDEF (defence/policy relations) respectively. Both interviews went well and the respective HRs are keen to proceed with my application.
MTI shared that this will be a lateral movement and my wage/benefits will remain the same. While I'm checking with the MINDEF HR on the salary package, any one jumped from stat board to MINDEF previously and can comment if there's a jump in salary? I have 3 YOE and a degree, if that matters. The roles are likely pegged to MX12/DXO 10 or DXO 9 for MINDEF
Broader, any views on which Ministry is preferable, for career progression? Both roles, on paper, offer significant exposure to upper management given the job scope + nature of work.

Nope. From another SB not under MTI. Perhaps the right term is movement policy, rather than a lateral movement.

DXO departments
To all current & past DXOs, can you guys please kindly share some opinions you have on various departments in terms of whether the culture, environment & bosses are good/bad & why? Please state the full name of the department too. Many thanks.
