MINDEF DXO (All FAQ on it)

Does MINDEF HQ have a mess for DXO to get cheap beer?

Both jobs do the same corporate function, which is same as what I’m doing now. but it seems the Mindef job is lower workload based on the chitchat with the hiring manager. Basically more hands to do same work. Got NSF clerks to do grunt work

I’m inclined to go with DXO but if the ceiling is too much lower then in the longer term it would be better to take MX10

The HR sucks. Their favourite phrase is "unable to share" so you can't make proper informed decisions.

I am a MX12 in a ministry. Is. DX9 job considered a demote?

I’ve applied for many PS jobs recently and mindef process is one of the smoother ones

Yar, I agree that MINDEF's processing is kinda smooth. I have just completed my interview last Friday and was informed that I have been selected on the night itself. Now it's just waiting for the psych test and some clearance. Not sure how long more to wait.

Hi guys, I’m currently a uniformed regular, in service for 4 years +. I am currently a manpower officer and I’m thinking of converting to DXO. Was wondering if there any any ex uniformed regulars who converted to DXO, and what was the experience like?

Don’t regulars usually do that at retirement age?

You want to change scheme and get lower pay and hentak taki? Why not continue in uniform and get higher pay and hentak taki?

Because being in uniform is a **** job. While the pay is higher than a DXO but the job scope is way more than a DXO. At least as a DXO, the pay tallys with the job scope. The current work environment I am in feels very toxic, and I don’t have work life balance. Also unfortunately I won’t be able to get out of my current posting any time soon and the job is draining me out mentally. So yes I would rather get lower pay and have more opportunities at a better work life balance.
