1) 15 years of experience does not mean u are over qualified. ur package is determined by years of relevant experience, not number of years of experience. based on your theory, like ah gong would have 80 yrs of working experience but cant even use excel or understand the in depths of the role.
2) 10k per month is not even high if u have been working for 15 yrs. the annual package of an average performance in govt sector is 16months onwards. A first class honours student who is in his thirties and with govt since grad can match ur 10k per month. howver, his salary package can only grow more and more while you, in the private sector will eventually reach a plateau, decline in salary or even get retrenched.

I think you need to keep asking since they do things slowly. Unless during the interview the hiring manager is the super enthu kind or just want to hire asap and get it over with, don't think they will push HR to keep moving.

Yep just follow up; using my case as an example I was contacted after slightly less than 4 weeks.

Same here! I waited for 1.5 months (according to manager, I’m not a backup. It’s some internal issues) instead of 2 weeks.
