If it has good pay and job security, might be worth it

the moment when u read thru the benefits in the contract, u will know the wait is worth it to join this exclusive club. I mean, how many DXO do u know in ur life? the benefits are catered for u to stay long

Haha, sure their benchmark is slightly higher than a general scheme. But you loose career mobility at the same time.

u are mistaken. DXO are free to self initiate job rotation across all the departments within the organization if there is an opening. You do not get that at statboards, or MX ministries. those that said DXO dead end job obviously never get shortlisted

Dunno about mapping but hearsay the pay is higher than someone who farmed their way up

It's still within the organization. When people say dead end it's means you're stuck within that organization.
Are you even a DXO?

There are plenty of rotational opportunities within MINDEF. With each movement, a DXO can further develop themselves and advance their skills, knowledge and of course remuneration package. It is never a dead end job.
You should stop dreaming so you wont need to ask all sorts of questions here every now when you do not even get pass the shortlist stage. And thanks for the reminder, I was the main information provider for the past months when almost everyone else is just asking, or providing false info since i chanced upon this forum, people like you makes me realize there is no point to be giving and providing information to hopeless applicants and to leave the forum. Continue to spread negativity of an DXO, however that will not deter worthy candidates. My intention was to support these talented candidates to not give up and provide certain info that they may need. The day they go down physically and review the contract benefits and career plan, they will know it is worth it.

Hi, does anybody know if fresh grad pay will be at least around mid 4k? Or is it lower? As a benchmark many of my peers are joining banking etc but that doesn't appeal much to me. Have submitted documents to HR but they have yet to get back with an estimate and I wouldn't want to waste anybody's time.
