Mindef DXO lowballed me on salary.

initial offer was nearly 30% below my current.

Their best offer was to match my current , even though there is supposedly a designation upgrade.

Too bad, not able to join them

Sounds like ur private package is better than gov....give and take...get a pay cut and some work-life balance or get a higher pay and less time...

Private / GLC is definitely better. I also rejected SID due to their lowball offer.

You need to think this way, your current jod you can only eat snake 20% the time. In Mindef you only work 20% of the time, so your hourly pay is in Mindef is 80% higher.

Private coys can collapse but Mindef job is iron rice bowl , there will always be 2 years of NS in true sinkie pwn sinkie fashion.

Correct, best not to be born as a Singapore male citizen if you can. As a foreigner you can always migrate and work in Singapore and enjoy the low taxes and free security provided by pathetic local males.
If you can be a minister earning 70k a month, 2 years of NS is equivalent to a lost income of 70k x 24 months of $1.7 million which is a retirement sum to many Singaporeans. If a foreigner wants to retire in Singapore thats an extra $1.7 million to spend in retirement. Make sense right?

Hows SID package? DXO, Civil service or some unique executive level? SID should pay higher due to its demand for unique skills and pure sg breed requirements

Nobody will be able to tell you this, but your imagination is somewhat towards the right direction (probably), but its not high until somewhere you cannot estimate, the job have different demands also.

But motherhood statement everywhere, scholars tends to do better
