Polygraph means there is a red flag in your G50 which they need to confirm

Polygraph test is not foolproof. I work in counter-espionage and subverting the polygraph test is part of our basic training. Most foreign agents working in MINDEF would have successfully cleared their polygraph test (and these are the ones we know about).
