Hi! Does MINDEF usually give extra allowance on top of base pay?
Eg. $4,000 base pay +$300 allowance = $4,300. If so is the $300 counted into CPF?

There maybe adhoc allowance depending on your role. Hence i didn’t use no allowance.

Any serving DXOs around? For degree holders, do they enter as Assistant Manager or Manager?

DXO non-uniformed psychologist
searched the past replies and couldn't find any recent posting for non-uniformed psychologist salary.
Anyone has a clue, also would be helpful to know what is the process like if you have already gone through the interviews!

Fresh grads with less than 3 years experience usually enter as AM.
Most mid careerist enter as Mgr.
AM to M promotion takes about 1-5 years depending on all the factors, average is around 3 years for AM to M.

One of my officers is a fresh grad joined last year, i hear salary was 4-4.2k for FCH. Lower offer due to Covid we guess. Last time FCH could go up to 4.2 - 4.4k

Disagree. Unless u factor in pre-covid 2019 and B grade with a salary package of 17 months, then possible 4.5k.
Last year and this year with almost zero bonus fresh grad without honours 3k. So FCH maybe 3.5k
Maybe if u r some high demand specialisation you can demand more.
Don't assume that SAF biggest slice of budget sure good bonus. All the goodies are for Uniformed. DXO is like minion without any benefit yet always at the mercy of the uniform mindset.
