Depends on the budget and your grading. If you are selected, the HR should explain to you about it. But as with all elsewhere, they will definitely try to give a lower pay since the gov is spending so much on covid measures now.

No, I mean there was another candidate apart from me. However, I am not sure if there were other candidates on a diff day
