Am all ears to suggestions. Thanks!

You think you’re overqualified.
The ministry might not think so. And they hv more supply. So they can always pick someone from a public uni and with a second upper. What do you have to make you competitive?

Im still waiting submitted doc 1st Jun. The HR lady told me they need more time to access my application and since I applied 2 positions, only when the first one unsuccessful then they will proceed to assess the second one.

Waited for three months
I am a private university grad with second upper.
This forum has benefited greatly thus giving back by providing my timeline.
26 Feb -- went for psychometric test
got rejected two weeks after but was offered another job offer
early May -- received a call to do video conferencing round 1
late may -- did another video conferencing round 2
early June -- received a HR call (but said its not cfmed yet)
not sure if I will get the executive job? cause they said subject to higher ups approval.

What are some of the benefits a DXO are entitled to? And how's the pay like?

It is abit funny that they called to inform you but tell it is not confirmed yet, maybe all nod head except the most senior?
Better than us with no follow up, except that they are still processing ='(

://. mindef.gov.sg/oms/dxo/dxoscheme_benefits.html
Pay is marginally higher than the equivalent pay grade at other civil service.
Also, depending on the dept.... there are “magic” offs. Hehe
It’s not the most glorifying job in the public service but I can assure you, you will never hear a single DXO complaining about being swamped.
TLDR, best place to work. I might be biased.

How long did you wait for them to inform you not being shortlisted? I waited for 3 weeks and no news yet.

DXO Career
Hi everyone,
I am a fresh graduate from one of the local university, holding FCH. Just wondering if it would be better for fresh graduate to explore private sector before joining as a DXO? I heard people saying that joining DXO will limit the future opportunities since the skills used and picked up as a DXO is very niche and not transferable. To what extent is this true? Appreciate if you guys can share your views if a fresh grad should join DXO? TIA!
