The pay for the dbs offer is good. and singapore banks quite safe de. i going for the ops program.. when was ur interview and when u gt the offer? they onli gave me 1 day to consider..u?

My interview was last tues. Gg down again on Monday. I dunno how long they will let me consider, hopefully a week.
Anw isn't the tech and ops program tgt? Got diff?

If you go bank you'll stay in a bank. FT in CBP is mainly from 1 large peninsular country.
Local banks trying to go local now due to political pressures. Good for us.

Operation and technology is 2 different tracks..operation is more for generalist. you going down on monday to sign letter of appointment?

Oic. You gg down on Monday too? I'm still undecided. Sigh. Both companies got pros and cons.
Yea if go bank. Will need to aim to grow vertically lor. Only concern is can't grow only.

Not sure if it's true, but i heard working in dbs IT dept is quite bad

Bear in mind that if you work for a local Singapore bank you're going to be working for a tiny company that nobody has every heard of outside of Singapore, whereas Big 4 are known around the globe, give you a wide variety of experience and a clear career path which will end up with a recognised qualification, you can always move to a bank afterwards with a decent salary, or second somewhere abroad very easily if you are interested in that.
