It is what it the JD says. Basically trying to sell boxes to forwarders or NVOCs.

Getting into shipping after 30?
Hi guys, interesting thread. Not sure if anyone still active here but let's try...
I've just turned 31 and have been working in the media/tv industry for nearly 10 years. Originally from London, I've been employed in Paris, London and currently Bangkok (with projects across SE Asia).
I know I'm quite old to be thinking about a shift in career but I'm getting pretty tired of the media industry and its prospects.
I've always had some interest in the shipping industry - I'm half Greek and my grandfather was the director for one of the biggest (back then) Greek shipowners. Although he retired in '89 and no other family members are involved in the industry, although I do have a few contacts working with shipowners.
I've been doing a little more in-depth research into the industry and thinking about doing some tests at ICS. I guess my thoughts now would be going into shipbroking, potentially wth a view to work for an owner down the line.
My question: Am I too old with too much non-related experience for anyone to even consider taking me on?

Sea freight executive
Hi guys, is it possible to become a ship broker/charterer/bunker if my previous experience – as a sea freight executive – is in the freight forwarding/logistics sector?
