When you were young...
When you were young (like in your teens) what job did you think you were going to end up doing?
I thought maybe I would be a welder. My uncle was a electrician and the rest of my relatives worked mostly in factories. I lived in a rental block, so not that many good role models to look up to. |
When I was young I was always asked by people in school, "what are you going to be when you're older? Doctor? Lawyer? Engineer?"
I always found that strange, and remember replying "err.... there're many other kinds of jobs, right?" To which I always got a "no! There're only 3 main job classes that are jobs worth doing" reply. That's the kind of environment I grew up in. Today after getting my diploma, honors degree and soon masters degree, I supervise grasscutting and ensure rubbish bins are cleared daily. |
I wanted to be a building demolition worker because I stayed in a rental flat and was watching our neighbourhood being torn down slowly to make way for new flats and condos.

I wanted to be the prime minister because everyone around me seemed to suggest he's extremely powerful and extremely feared. Now, I still want to be the prime minister because I can get paid a lot without any risk of being retrenched for at least 2-3 rounds of elections (that's about 20 years).

Hmmmm...
Between 5 to 11, I wanted to be a superhero to save the world Between 11 to 20, I wanted to be a superstar to tour the world Between 21 to 30, I wanted to be a CEO to rule the world Between 30 to 40, I wanted to be a billionaire to create another world (Resort World) Now, I just want to live my life and to get out of this world... |
any job that makes me rich!
