Default Job Hop in 8 mths?

Need advice

28yo F
8yrs exp in Supply chain
Currently in EMS environm, annual 85k

My complains
Never worked in EMS before, scope is what I like, mgr level, just rather fast pace and I fear project will run out soon, and I will be forced to look for another job or post within co.
Also, post/job level is fixed, there is no chance of promo, unless I move out of this scope. (Slim chance of promo). MGR level, IC.
Esle, Co / colleagues / culture are fine.

Headhunter called to offer a post with Medical Equipm MNC.
1st round INT went well, and 2nd round looks to be final.
Post is relative junior, scope is junior, individual contributor, dealing in OPS.
But MNC will pay me higher than my current drawn. Not sure how much more.
In a dilema here, a move would mean, more room for growth, pay increase as this post is mid level junior.
I always wanted to work in medical field as I find this is growing in SG, also assume better bonus/salary/perks in Medical as margins are higher. Am I wrong?

Any advise if I should proceed? Only 8 mths in my current co.

Is EMS = estate management or engineering management or events marketing?

Anyway, my take is that the reasons (1) higher pay (2) room for growth and (3) MNC name, are already good enough for anyone to hop.

sorry for my unclear post,

EMS - companies like foxconn / flextronics. They build end products for other brands like SOny, IBM.. etc. Mainly no design/marketing team.

So they are different from ODMs which are the SONY / HP / IBM.

Both companies are MNC, current job is MNC.

Wow! Seems that you are a high flier...

I would say the pay is good. Not many EMS MNCs in singapore are doing well since most are shifting their ops to overseas...

Since there is better prospect and higher salary, then just go ahead and make the move. Furthermore with the population aging in Singapore, the health care/medical industry will be strong and resilient even during bad times. In fact, health care is set to grow worldwide as born old ill die is part of the natural process that happens to everyone in the world.

dun really have to bother about 8 mths job hop or whatsoever, good opportunities seldom come by twice.

My co which is one of the leading EMS has many young mgrs n directors. I guess they are paid well.
The new post I m interviewing for is a med mnc. Post/ scope is executive level, in operations not mgr in a strategic role , individual contributor. Would this be a step back in my career? Though this med mnc should pay me more than my current salary.

Hi, so far not many EMS coys in singapore pay well. I guess you are really lucky.
Sometimes you have to ask what do you want in the end...

Did a mini research and apparently the mgrs and the directors in my co are paid well.
directors over 5 fig, and over 15 to 20k. This is more than most ODM I know.

To leave for a better pay increment at another co but not a leading pay master.. m i making the wrong move?

There is nothing wrong in expecting a higher pay as a person hops from one position to another.

In fact, I feel you can put inside ur resume that you are head-hunted. Goes to show that you are of some calibre...

finished the int today, it went well, but interviewers were curious why I am looking out when I am only in my company the 8th mth.

I did not dare to stress that it was the headhunter who called me for this post. Will appear too cocky no? Anyway, post not very senior.

They were impressed by my resume and my spoken experiences, likely to secure the job. But am considering.

I am doing a strategic role now, title is manager.

Interviewed role today is for a mid level exec, in operations, though I can ask for a higher salary. But this is a step back in my career. Am I overthinking this?
