2007 - 3.5k
2008 - 4.5k
2009 - promoted. 5.7k
2010 - 6.5k. Change dept within same bank.
2011 - jump bank. Promoted. 10.4k

quite low. my jumps were mostly 50%. now drawing 17k at 29

08-09>>annual increment + promotion = 1.2k = 26.6%
09-10>>although change dept, annual increment = $800 = 14%

why all your annual increment so high one, my ST engineering annual increment = 3.5% only
promotion also = 4% only
AND THERE IS NO SUCH THING IN STENGINEERING THAT GIVE YOU +$500 INCREMENT FOR PROMOTION EVEN IF YOU ARE THE TOP 1% BEST PERFORMER .

At junior level they don't go by %. If your employer go by % when you are only drawing 3k plus per month, then you know you are screwed

So unless you want to wait till you are 40, you better reality check yourself and think about how to re-position yourself.

My bro is a local engineering grad from NUS. I am also local grad. Every week I hear the same sort of complain from him.
