Anyone working in the Reinsurance industry?

What's the salary for reinsurance brokers after 3-4 years experience...helping a friend to ask! Thanks!

Depends on individual lar, average should be ~170k p.a. and the better ones often >250k.

What is the criteria to be successful in this industry?

reinsurance is not sunset. it's evergreen. all insurance companies will always need reinsurance services. people will always need life and health insurances. companies will also need to insure their staff, as well as their risky projects.

Seems like its very niche industry..even my friend has no idea what's the market rate for those working in the industry..

Most reinsurance brokers are glorified B2B salesmen. Like all sales job, pay will depend mostly on how much business you generate. There is no such concept as market rate because variable component will swing depending on individual and business performance.
