managers have no aws. only performance bonus subjected to your performance and of course the economic conditions. i guess it varies from department to department in terms of the stress levels. But otherwise its a good place to work in.

I worked briefly in NUS after deciding to take a break from consulting. What some of the jobs and departments they call "stressful" is downright laughable.
I have seen people bitching & moaning just because they have to stay past 9pm for a few days...

Those guys are probably too pampered... Never tasted hardship in the real world outside.. Whole day wear nice nice.. Sit in aircon room also complain.... Blood hell...

Saw that NUS has Assoc Director posts. How is this different from the regular Director posts they have? How's the pay scale like?

NUS suffering from title hyper inflation. Their AD is paid like AM and Dir like manager compared to most big companies

These redundant titles could all be due to the leftovers from the time (pre-2006) when NUS was still a stat board. Probably will expect another round of culling/title rearranging when all these old birds leave the system then you'll see a slowdown in the rate of promotions and reversion to the standard hierarchy.
