I like to tell my associates, if you can do what they can do, you can earn what they can earn. Its just a fact in life that not of us have the same abilities. Some yearn to fly, but if they can only crawl, what then? Should we spit at the infinite sky?
Nope, we just need to do what we can do, the best way we know how. Be it at banks, or at the big 4. I've no shame admitting that I do feel underpaid and overworked at times, but that's my choice with the abilities I have. That's the 99% for you. Not everyone can make the big bucks, but that doesn't mean we should be resigned to fate. Just find opportunities where they are.
I have to admit, i didn't do well enough in school, but did that have any impact on where I am? Nope. Grades just open the doors, eventually, its who you know that matters, not what you know.
I mean, you big bankers, why do you have to piss on us? More than half of us would love to have had the chance to join you guys, but you know what? There aren't enough spaces. So, we end up trying to make an honest living the best way we know how, in hope that sometime in the future, there will be a better place out there for us.
For the other half, it has been beaten into them after so many years, that they don't know how to get out of it. That's sad, but that's life.
For all those of you who are in a better place, congrats. You don't have to trample on anyone. For all those of you who are still trying to get in, go ahead and don't let anyone stop you. Just come in with both eyes wide open.

Big 4 bonuses
Hi Forum,
Does anyone know what Big4 Advisory bonuses are like for manager and senior manager levels? Assuming performing at level and performing above peers at level?
I am hearing things from 1 to 3 months, but would appreciate actual insights.
Thanks
