No way EY is number 1. Slave driver and OT culture is so ingrained over there.
Which firm are you from?

See revised list below:

1. PWC - best culture hands down.
2. KPMG - best pay and learning environment.
3. Deloitte - strong brand with supportive mentors.
4. EY - slave driver and sees OT as the norm.
I am from Deloitte and can say with 100% certainty, Deloitte’s corp tax is not as strong as the others. I am not talking about work life balance/mentor culture. I am talking about their clients and portfolio.EY has the biggest clients.

And please, even if talking about culture, Deloitte does not have supportive mentors. It is every man for themselves here. In a meeting with SM and AM, the AM will gladly throw you under the bus if it means he doesn’t get scolded by the SM.

Years ago. Yes Deloitte is at the top of their game. Now oh pls... Deloitte is straight up last.. and I'm not even exaggerating. They have lost their touch. Pay is the lowest of them all. Welfare..? just none.

"Strong" point by them? Unlimited leave. LOL yes unlimited. Whether can take is another thing. Common excuse given by manager "aiya since don't need to clear you can take anytime."

For yellow, any thoughts on people advisory services and tech consulting?
I.e. are both good paths? Which provides more opportunities. Thanks!

After A1 bonus good or not?

You go and compare with other stingy big 4 before you say this.

Deloitte is fully committed to paying fair remuneration to its people. Sauce: currently in DT.

Management is not worried about losing staff at all, hence surely the pay must be competitive!

Why is it corporate BS just becos you couldn’t get into DT?

I get it, not everyone has the personality for DT but you don’t have to be so sour about it.
