So most of you should just quit audit and join AIA/Prudential/Aviva/Great Eastern
Bro u got the equation wrong, it is

Chartered Financial Consultants > Financial Consultants > IB/MBB Slave > Audit Slave

Why is this so? Because do not forget IB slaves work 80 to 100 hours all year round to grt 10k/mth but financial consultants like us earn 10k/mth with flexible hours (still can go fitness classes in the morning, high tea session with clients in the afternoon and gym at night)

I don’t think it’s fair to compare Charter to Non-Charter.

If you want apples to apples, compare against CFA, CPA and CVA in the same equation.

It depends although it is applicable to all of audit personnel. Traditional trajectory (FCHs or not) such as IA, risk, compliance, product control in bank, accounting, fp&a, etc. There are others who went off to other pathes. The path of one FCH may not be your path, so don't bother emulating

Conclusion: You should weigh the pros and cons and decide for yourself.
The "sacrifice/suffer first, do well later" concept is outdated already. now anytime can kena covid and uplorry. Your satki 10k salary and SM title cannot bring to your grave.

I don't know what is wrong with the SMs in big 4. They like to use the word "sacrifice". These SMs stay too long in big 4 and are completely out of touch with the outside world

Millennials and Gen Z want fulfillment and work life balance. We don't want BS like low starting salary, sacrifice your time and health for the firm with the opportunity to earn 10k 10 years later. God knows what will happen 10 years later.

Some occupations like healthcare workers and social work also have poor work life balance, low starting pay and high burnout rate. But these occupations got a purpose which is to save lives or to help people solve their problems. Audit profession is meaningless since you are sacrificing your time and health to help your greedy partners earn more money.

Audit provides a valuable service to society by ensuring that the capital markets get a true and fair picture of company's financials okay?

Just ask the investors of Wirecard, Luckin Coffee, Carillion, Patisserie Valerie. Oh wait...
