Q: Big4 - Yearly salary increment

Hi guys, I am a S1 approaching S2 soon. Recently got an offer from JPM as legal entity controller offering 6.2k. Was wondering if I should go because audit there is guaranteed progression until manager and lastly equity partner if you stay. However, if I take the offer I scared I may not enjoy guaranteed progression or even give up the opportunity to become an equity partner.

what are the working hours and % pay increment?

Standard working hours 9 - 6 but sometimes will be busy with
month end closing

s1 drawing 4.2k so the jump is about 47.6% alone

Yes my SM told me i stand a chance to be an equity partner from the engagements i worked with her given my calibre

That's a significant jump, how much would S2 pay be though? Just for comparison with the 6.2k

Take the JPM offer and run for the hills. And do it quick because I’m sure someone will take it soon.

S2 is only 4.8...

There was once a guy who turned down a 6.2k offer for a 2.9k offer.

He regrets it immensely.
