Big 4 Progression
In what circumstances an A1 can never progress to A2 and A2 to senior since the progression/promotion is almost guaranteed if you do work?

A couple of scenarios for you reference , tho I have seldom heard of them actually happening
1. You always have below acceptable hours charged to engagements , eg 20 for the whole week hours even for busy season
2. Almost all seniors / mgr work with u complain abt your work quality and your work is no way near the standard of your batch
3. Other personal factors (eg. U were sick and absent from work for almost half a year), to be fair they have to postpone your progression
So far 2 years in only one of my colleague has quit due to 4 , the guy has some mental issue and failed probation (similar to not promote) and he quit

When you start believing what some disillusioned posters say about refusing to OT and leaving work on time lol.
Jokes aside, if you work long enough, you will know some people just don’t get the concept and logic and will just keep making mistakes and are simply too slow.
If you make your managers worry about their deliverables, you should start worrying too.
