I don't know the details of his add-ons but he "repeated" one year as an sa2 here (though the normal sa2 pay here is still higher than his home country's).

If you volunteer to quit here and reapply for a job overseas then usually they will offer same pay.

For 90% of the cases which is company assign you to overseas either for exposure or take up specific job, you will get a salary about the same as current plus additional allowance of 50% +/- of your current basic pay.

Haha you wait long long. If you're worth the exposure gained overseas you'll be promoted to a higher level with better pay anyway

No, but in real life hr will usually convert half of the allowance into basic and together with a promotion increase of 15-20% when you come back. So it is common for people to go overseas for 2 years and come back with up to 50% pay increase.

Hey forum, just wondering what your thoughts are on this year's pay increases and bonuses? Is 5% and 3 months looking too optimistic?

On this note, when do increases usually take place? July or so?
