Think twice about accepting EY offer , its the worst out of the lot and they work you to the bone , management talks about their times being worst than now and how “ thankful” we should be . Senior management promotions and good client portfolios goes to people with connections - family friends , children of partners , close friends . Its a shithole

You are dumb if you think this way. 16 years later anything can change, probably some of the audit business might not be applicable anymore or there might be huge disruption to the business due to regulations pressure or automation.
I dont think SM to partner promotion is a guaranteed one even if you stay for 20 years. You really need to prove yourselves and make good connections with the partner.
It sounds like a gamble to me, 10% chance you win the grand prize being a partner. 90% chance you lose your 25 years getting 25% below market rate pay.

10% is from the perspective of SM?
Cause the odds from A1 should be much lower? I recall a senior told me every year they take in 100+ new associates but most are gone by S3 year.
Anyway yes, it’s all about the hopes of being that 1%.

Company going downhill ever since Max Loh took over staff and seniors should just do the bare minimum and quit during peak to give them one time good one. I heard they still have massive problems hiring new people even after pay increment.

Are u from EY ? Have u had a look at the EY partner programme ? Almost all SMs are on the list ?
My SM has been working for 15 yrs and was told will be made partner soon .
So this is current not 16 years down the road , she said she was already told earlier on in her years that she is for “ partner track “
Ey promoted sooo many ppl in audit to partners it was even on the news , alot females from
Audit.
EY SM bonus is also good 3-4 months pay , doesnt matter no AWS they hit 180 k pm
