Yes, when I said long-term i dont mean staying in the big4 throughout but getting the 2 years of exp in the beginning to have the name + accounting cert on your resume which many employers value.

Best time to leave big 4 is after 2-3 years and after promotion to manager

How do you promote to manager in 3year within the promotion from S2 onward is not guaranteed even if u join as S1 in Nov and didn't miss the appraisal is quite hard.

That is only a single data point, but the people who can make it to partner would very well be caliber who can make it to the top elsewhere
