your pay dont increase once u get CA
if you try to use your CA to negotiate a higher pay, they hire a cheaper malaysian trash

just look at how they scramble to even get people to sign up

CA is merely a marketing tool

Except public accounting, its not the same as SG Medical Council registration or Singapore Bar so no barrier to entry

The way asian CEOs want their CFOs are very different from the way Western Countries want their CFO

In Asia, CFO = cost center

In Western countries, CFO = revenue center

how to continue in this sector? This sector is doomed

In USA, the compensation for similar company revenue size with reduced scope of work tends to be higher compared to SG

Can ISCA please ask all companies operating in SG to benchmark all accounting salaries to those companies in Europe and USA

Thats the problem

Have to keep on upskilling but you realise that everyone else is doing the same and school fees keep going up like crazy

At the same time, you have to juggle work/family commitments

Spend more time at work and grades & transcript based prospects suffer.
Spend more time studying and work quality suffers
