OP being S1 means he/she has experience of roughly 2+ years exp.
Financial analyst/low-paying accountants: 5k-6k, might hire less than 3 years exp
Decent paying accountan/AFM:6k and above, min 3 years exp
High paying AFM/FM:6.5k and above, 3-5 years exp if lucky
Unless OP wants to go through the hell of a full year of S1, I would say his offer is decent. Waiting till S2 to jump will definitely be more effective though .But long term, both paths require at least 1 more job change imo to get to a decent salary, so both paths equally viable.
From someone who quit last year (S2,6k base, excluding aws bonus)

No leh. We audit list co in sgx. Assist fm not even 6k. Most dont have bonus for finance dept de, unless u key personnel. Lol. Dont waste time la bro and sis, go find decent job. Commercial is flooded with uncle aunties or jhk. Go do knowledge work. If not u waste ur big4 time. I see clowns aim at least financial controller, not fm.
