Dealing with audit is like fighting against thanos as ironman
You can prepare from level 1 to level 10 in the end but still not worth it and you still end up dying within
Move on to another industry thats not so toxic bah

not as simple as just leaving lol
no one leaves a job without another job lined up, you guys saw that dumbass IT guy from ITE who left his IT job just because it was stressful only to not find a job later on and now has to drive 14 hours grab / gojek?
yea i rather work my 9 to 5 stressful dog job than to drive some lanjiao 0 guarantee pay 0 bonus 0 weight on resume driver dog job that no one respects

From audit perspective the career progression is how to use audit knowledge to help company to make more money

People think of auditors as those $1.80 kopitiam coffee
They only want audit nia so if you try to increase by 20 cents to $2.00 they will boycott you
Its the toxic singapore mindset that cannot change until the foreign labour for audit is cut and eventually auditors are in short supply

The auditor’s report is actually the same as a form of business license or regulatory expenses from CEO perspective
Even for insurance agents -> client see them as helping them to make more $$
For property agent -> client see them as helping them to make correct property investment decision
Thats why some of those agents can drive lamborghini and some of us CA still take public transport

hi all,
fresh grad from this yr (overseas uni, grad fch-equivalent), just resigned from first job after 2 months because of many reasons (very niche role - limited growth opportunities, manager threw laptop at me - long story)
just got offer to do tech risk, but hesitant because I would rather go into advisory/consulting
any possibility of transferring within company to transition into that? how should i go about it/how should i network into it?
i also am at final stage of interviews for a consulting firm (not prestigious, not big4) which i would prefer greatly, but the deadline to accept is before the final interview, and they can't move it fwd because interviewer is on month long sabbatical lol - should i accept the offer first then renege on it?

hi all,
just graduated earlier this yr (overseas uni, fch equivalent, studied business analytics), but resigned from my first job because not much growth opportunity + physical abuse by mgmt
got an offer for tech risk at one of big 4, but would like to go into consulting/advisory
possible to transfer internally through networking? does anyone have any stories/tips to share? it audit definitely isn't at the top of my wishlist, but offers are hard to come by nowadays
i'm currently also final stage at a low-tier consulting firm, but the interview is after the deadline to accept the big4 offer, and i think its risky to reject the offer when the consulting role is not guaranteed also
i could renege on the offer but i scared blacklist hahaha
anyone has any advice?
