Your premise is already wrong. You don’t join Big4 for the money. You do it for the brand name on your resume when you are a fresh graduate with limited internship experience and have trouble having a job at a more reputable MNC. You do it because you’re a workaholic who wants to numb the pain of your personal life with work. You do it because your friends joined the firm and work becomes a continuation of university. You do it for the rigour of the training and it makes you stronger and more resilient to working long hours.

After leaving Big4, you start to wonder what to do with your lives when you can leave office at 6pm instead of 9pm and some people feel so lost they chose to come back.

1. Not all is scholar
2. Not all have top tier education as well
3. All worked in top companies
4. There is career progression at the companies they worked at
5. All of them networked well
