why the banks all want audit report?
Can't they do the due diligence on their OWN clients themselves?
What's the point of keep relying of auditors for due diligence? So weird one.

What aspirations of Gen Z?
Work from home, 4 days work week, leave office 6pm?
While having 5k starting salary?

Nowadays associates are from many pte unis and foreigners. The seniors are mainly foreigners because the smarter local grads seniors left. I have nothing against foreigners if they are capable. It can really work both ways now, like a smarter associate with a less capable senior or a capable senior with less capable associates because they just keep hiring mid joiners. Even some new mid joiners managers are not as capable and you have no choice but to take less efficient orders from them. Due to your position, may I ask if the banks still hire people from audit? From what I have gathered, banks are hiring less from audit now and prefer to hire fresh grads and train them. I mean the quality of auditors declined and why would they hire from this pool anyway? In your time audit is a good stepping stone but I cant say it works the same now. If you were to experience this, you might understand why a lot of bashing on accting grads

Agree with this. Last time, there were a lot of job postings preferring Big 4 experience. Now, MNC experience is preferred lol. You don’t need an accounting degree to do audit. just apply to KP. KP has been actively hiring non-accounting graduates

Wait I think I’m wrong. EY can be Black OR Yellow.
Deloitte is Black OR Green.
The question is badly designed…
