Advisory ppl don’t take scaq. Many of them aren’t even from accounting background.

Orange advisory offers the same 10k bonus for CFA.
Orange tax offers the same 10k for SCTP ATA for either Income Tax or GST.

Seems like every BU has their own qualification. Even the corporate secretary team got some Chartered Secretaries Institute of Singapore qualification

SCAQ is the best if you want to be accountant la.

CFA is more of investments and banking.

Why focus on pay progression when you are already halfway out the door?

The real takeaway is the experience and skills you can gain while you are here, which will outlast any salary increment.

Actually we shouldnt let the last drawn pay mentality affect us

Our value is not derived from last drawn pay

We should be free to ask whatever salary we want and for HR to value our output accordingly

Influencer does zero contribution to humanity but earn many millions

A1 - 3600
A2 - 3800
S1 - 4300
S2 - 6400
AM - 7000
M1 - 8000

2.8 months bonus.

Actually audit is replicating work 2x

We are not creating new output

Alternatively is CFO must be CA Singapore or registered accountant in the country home body

CFO pay government body or ACRA $$ and gets accounts checked for error on permanent basis

Then shut down third party audit services entirely

Third party attestation should let any CA SG do

But if any issue, the CA SG registration will be easily revoked so that reviewer wont be slack

DBS CFO salary minus 20% cos she got FRM certification + CA + CFA

So you adjust downward by 20% and you get your salary reasonableness testing
