12 Aug - I reply with my acceptance. Talent requested for my latest payslips & also told me she will inform HR to start prepare offer letter.
Then no news til now......... The Talent person I always talk to is the same lady. But HR is a different team.
Why cannot call and ask. Last time long long ago foo kon tan interview me 3 times i think. Then suddenly no reply. Then the last thing i heard is partner of the team resign. What a joke. HR usually waiting for retirement 1. They very lazy bunch of ppl thinking ur future depends on them. From that day i see fkt i siam them. Pui.

Lets try to comfort ourselves to say that there is redtape, need to go thru chain of command etc, people on long holiday leave in ‘special’ august/september period with no replacement who can give alternate approval once de facto approval is given

You want to work for this kind of SME company?

Go apply for big 4 now instead of BDO Raffles

BDO and RSM is cmi for resume fyi

I will not lose sleep over job vacancies inside BDO Raffles.

Be more decisive abit.

You should have given the HR and recruiters deadline when they told you about the offer letter if not you go find another role

I NEVER entertain phonecalls, same goes with your audit evidence

No.2

Everything must be black and white in email for record keeping

You are future audit partner and future CFO. Must ai zai gung ho abit like NS first to charge

If you have to answer a phonecall, make sure to type and record a transcript and send to the HR or talent in charge to verify the contents of the phonecall after the phonecall ended for your own assurance

First day of work

I did the following

I did self intro and cc the entire firm

1. I will be an audit partner at the end of my intro

Second day of work

I asked my audit manager to give me his deadline to review my draft AWP and also cc the audit partner

FYI, no timeline in place at that time

Never ever leave things to ambiguity

True is staff turnover in BD* is not very bad.
Dont think they are in urgent need headcount lah.

Or you are jhk who need work pass etc.
