For SCAQ its touted like Mao’s Great Leap Forward
But
1. No credits offered are given for MBA program
2. We need to have business leaders who already have MBA to take SCAQ and to qualify as Chartered Accountants
If we really want to push the sector to be like doctors/lawyers we need to create more possibilities to value add.
Lets #MAGA Make Accountancy Great Again for 2024 for the elections

Will vote for you to be in ISCA Council
There is alot of work cut out for the next generation of accountancy leaders
There is insufficient threat analysis done for ISCA/IFAC main competitor : MBA Programs
Chartered Accountants need to figure out a way to level the playing field with MBA holders.
We cannot whole life be CFO while being passed on for CEO positions
With MBA, people can easily go into management level and have a qualification perceived to be similar in nature as CA SG but much higher in quality
With accountancy field dying then its better to collaborate with MBA

It is something that they need to choose ,
Big sized glc/listed co too have heavy workload.
But i cant understand why the poster keep put NS in the picture?
2 years NS / 30 years working life is significant?

FYI in Singapore context, Partners track only start preliminary selection at SM1 or SM2.
If you hear your senior associates talking about it, it’s all just bull.
I found out way too late and stayed too long before hearing it straight from the big boss.
Highly rated M2s and M3s may be offered secondment opportunities - but these are just normal grooming / career development paths without Partnership in mind. Although they may become relevant considerations in your latter years.

It’s normal to have some emotional baggage you cannot let go off even after years. For some, it could be a toxic-ex. For others, it could be about CPF. For OP, I guess NS left such a mark on him that he cannot let go or stop thinking about it even years later.

Why so many audit managers resigned after 1 year working as manager?

Bro this is common knowledge - you mean you didn't know and read the misformation shared by anonymous users on the internet, and believed that SA1 are identified as future Partners? Boy, do I have a bridge to sell you...
