Kid, grow up. Your attitude wont bring you far. Obviously branding doesnt mean just posting nonsense on LinkedIn. I’m referring to the way you do your work professionally and people can see it. If you are good, people will call and offer you opportunities even when you left audit a few years. And i dont mean just partners, but also client calling you up.

Agreed
Best way is to create video on accounting, create own website, collect testimony from previous CEO, do volunteer work and write technical articles
We need to be high profile but opposite of Serina Wee

Sorry i mean
All of the above still cannot win networking
So networking will be the first and most important.
Every morning you will always see me queue up at Starbucks for my CFO, CEO etc

I was slightly kidding about the Starbucks aspect
Not that i say dont buy coffee for colleagues but i spend alot of money on creating good relations with other department heads
I also make sure to help out all of the other C-suites in their work whenever i can

depends if you are joining as an in-house IA or a consulting IA.
Consulting firm IA will have slightly better WLB as compared to EA. However, this role is still a front facing role. Can be tiring too.
In-house IA are those in-house back office role, doing IA for your own company. This have better WLB, but progression slowed significantly.
IA is just better of the 2 poop hole.
