So what does it mean?
it worked. why u think pay rose after the mass resignation during covid? at first partners just thought it's empty threats

Very strange

I see some companies no money still want to engage auditor to audit their accounts.

I thought manager role is supposed to train and guide your team? But you left audit industry because your engagements didn't have a competent team?

Eh, you know ah, working with different teams, even if they not so good at first, actually good for you leh. Can improve your leadership and problem-solving skills, you know?

Instead of running away, better to give feedback and help them grow. Like that, you show you got strong leadership mah. Also, no team perfect one. If you work together and help each other, can improve a lot. If you leave too fast, you miss the chance to make a big difference lor.
valid points. provided the team wants to be guided and learn. maybe 2 of my teams are like that. the rest nah, close laptop at 6pm, talk them through the RP 1 month later also not cleared so i clear myself. They just simply show no interest in the job.

u are asking me to change a persons personality. i know my strengths. it is accounting, its not character building.

i had a chance to make a difference because i have tried for 5 years. maybe just not that good at it and you gotta call it quits at some point of time. anyway you have your perspective and i have mine. just saying i have no regrets and feel im in a better place where my bosses respect my opinions and my team is better

Financial services.

It depends. if management is committed to resolving the issues vs only waiting for the problem to manifest and react at the last min that’s a culture problem isn’t it. some of this is deep rooted.

of course run. i only got 2/3 of my life more to live and i don’t intend to keep ramming my head against a problem that management refuses to solve. its not just about the salary there are many problems inherent with the way things are being done.

if you are by all means the believer in the change begins with me and that you are all about that nurture not nature. well done OP i respect you, u are a better human than i am. but i’m saying that if i learnt anything from the partners. it’s every man for himself in this world. and ain’t nobody got time for that
